#MAOTShine

#MAOTShine

Ever since I competed for the title of Miss America Outstanding Teen 2014, I have kept in touch with every single one of the MAOT Class of 2014 Contestants. We have all developed a bond with one another that is just absolutely unbreakable! It was so nice to be able to see all of my MAOT Sisters this week at the Miss America Pageant! I missed them so much! Being able to spend even more time with them after the pageant was just amazing... I ALREADY miss them all to pieces! Being awarded the "Spirit of America" Award helps me to realize the true family that i've made during the week of competition and there is nothing on this earth, in the UNIVERSE that is goingto ever split the #MAOT2014 Love! I am counting down the days that we see each other again, and who knows, maybe it'll be on the Miss America Stage.

SCORE TWO FOR THE BIG APPLE!

Miss America’s Outstanding Teen
After a long week of preliminary competition, I am so happy for our reigning Miss Delaware for all that she has learned and obtained from this Journey. Coming home with the "Non-Finalist Talent Award", Rebecca has "...done her state very proud!"

being crowned in Atlantic City

I would also like to congratulate our new Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri! Dazzling us with her unique Bollywood Talent, she commanded the stage, winning the Miss America for the state of New York, not once, but TWICE in a row!? Despite missing her cue when called to perform, Nina still blue the judges away with her poise and wonderful stage presence. This crowning was truly one to remember, making her reign the very first back-to-back state title winners and the very first of the Indian Culture to bring home the crown, opening doors for thousands of young women world-wide. Now that she is the newly crowed Miss America, Nina will travel all over the US, promoting her platform, "Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competence". I am so excited to see what Nina has in store for us! LETS GO NINA!
